K.R. Narayanan Study Centre organised a class on ‘Dalit Development and Welfare Schemes on 30.07.2010 at 2.30 p.m. in the Grama Panchayat Auditorium , Uzhavoor. The class was taken by Sri. C. Gopakumar, S.C. Development officer, Ettumanoor Block. The class was mainly focussed on the Central and State Government schemes for the welfare of Scheduled cast people. According to Mr. Gopakumar, the awareness of SC peoples about the schemes is limited. So it affects in delivering services to them. He introduced the important schemes to the audience and clarified their doubts. Mrs. Moly Luka, President, Uzhavoor Grama Panchayat presided over the function. Dr. Francis Cyriac E., Principal, St. Stephen’s college and Mr. Sreedharan Gopalan, Vice-President, Uzhavoor Grama Panchayat delivered the felicitation speech. Dr. Jose V.S. welcomed the gathering and Dr. Mercy Philip C. extended the vote of thanks.
